Virtual Classrooms & Distance Learning:

  • Study Hall - free new educational enrichment activities every 10-12 days; children do the assignments the traditional way - using brain, pencil and paper. The activities in three levels, cover math, science, reading, writing, geography and more.

  • Harrison Home Enterprises on-line tutoring; Custom designed science labs; consulting; Usborne Books
  • Mindquest: Earn a High School diploma through the Internet! FREE to eligible Minnesota residents and available to qualified out-of-state residents by tuition agreement. Mindquest is open to adults and older teens 17 years and older who do not have a high school diploma. People with a GED certificate/diploma are welcome! Courses are also available on-line to high school juniors and seniors who need extra credits.
  • Headworks Interactive Learning Center ~ based in Milwaukee, WI, offers tutoring for children ages 6-16. We use a combination of one-on-one tutoring, computer technology, and small peer groups to motivate our students. Launched in 1998 by the Agency for Instructional Technology, TLO currently offers a full fourth-grade curriculum.   • Scholastic Network ~ Internet-based curriculum service, free of charge to all educators starting in Sept 99. Scholastic Network provides more than 500 interactive, standards-based learning activities and projects, and is currently used by more than 15,000 schools. (800) 246-2986.

  • Educational Structures ~ Complete and customizable lesson plans in core subject areas. Internet-delivered curriculum service also provides resource centers for teachers and students, as well as a library of up-to-date educational resource materials. (888) 287-7428.

  • LOGAL.net ~ Combines the best of interactive experiments and online curriculum; Real-time, Internet-based simulations in the areas of biology, chemistry, physics, and math. Lesson plans accompany each of the 670 activities, which run in a browser-based helper application and are correlated to national and state teaching standards as well as many textbooks.
