A New Day Has Come by Gabrielle M. Thompson, Sept 2010 | ||

It seems as if books materialize when I need their message most. This has become a life-long process, from receiving Stranger in a Strange Land at age fifteen, through Letters to You from Baloran in my early twenties, Emmanuel in my thirties, and Abraham when I landed in North Carolina in my early forties. Toss in the Seth Materials somewhere along that line. Now, as I begin my sixties, the Return of the Bird Tribes by Key Carey just made its appearance through Cameron Ellison, my friend since our lives joined together over twenty years ago in St. Thomas. All of the aforementioned books share a universal theme: we are spirit creators, interconnected with all life and one another: "Chief among these recognitions is that all creatures inhabit and live within a single field of shared consciousness, that all are projections of a single Being, and that all of us—angels, humans, animals, vegetables, microbes and minerals—are differentiated aspects of one conscious and coherent whole. This recognition is the cornerstone of the new Sacred Reality, the foundation of the kingdom of heaven."p.185 The quotes in this article are from the Bird Tribes, but similar messages abound in all of the books. We are one. We are in the midst of creation—a universe of thought, spirit, and matter forming everything we do. As spirit on each level manifests, it effects the other levels. This is the basis of "You create your own reality." The reality your thoughts and actions bring forth actually has impact on the whole universal Being. Would you rather create beauty, happiness, comfort and love—or manifest the current fears that currently grip our world? "Do not subscribe to the passing illusions of this age. Do not blindly follow the archaic warrior programming (my italics) that leaves you unconscious, an automaton, a puppet controlled by those who have for centuries made it their business to map and chart the currents of fear. Realize your choices. Should you feel a habit of violent reaction, whether in thought, word or deed, realize that it is only yourself with whom you strive. Do not contend so anxiously with yourself. There is only one of you here, shadowboxing on the wall. Defend yourself from this alone: the programming of unconscious fears." p.198 I have attempted to give up worrying about things that I can not effect, preferring to direct my consciousness to joy and love and creating peace within. Life was becoming too much of an overload. My health was beginning to reflect that attitude. When I lived on our boat in the Virgin Islands, I heard no news reports. I spent my days working to create a beautiful vacation for our guests aboard our schooner, Satori. That sense of joy is hard to maintain when the world is bombarding you with oil spills, economic woes, wars, and negativity in large doses on a daily basis. "When you choose to relax, you break away from the control of fear’s conditioning. You break the bonds that have historically enslaved your race. In the expression and restful enjoyment of love, you come to know the energies of the Great Spirit." p.156 The concept of a whole world of creators coming together to make an evolutionary leap is the basis of the Return of the Bird Tribes. We have had visitors, or angels, from other planes at various times that have helped us remember who we are. Jesus is the prime example given, but there is also mention of those spirits who manifested in other cultures: "Five centuries before the dawn of the present era, in the jungles of the Yucatan, we brought to the Awakened Ones of that age a timetable, which they carefully recorded in stone. The Mayan Calendar is recovered now from moss, fern, lizard and leaf. In it are chiseled the dates of the Great Day of Purification, dates that correspond to your years, 1987-2011. The winter solstice of the last year of this intensified twenty-five year cycle will see the purification complete, the era of human history brought forever to a close.p.188 Amen to that! Keep in mind, this was published in 1988. He also writes: "A new era is dawning. Action born from fear is becoming less effective with each passing day. Institutions, traditions and societies forged in fear have already begun to falter. Change is occurring everywhere, for as the planetary awakening proceeds, the consciousness that determines the quality and nature of life is itself changing." p.151 I would rather believe we are moving forward, somehow, rather than just wrecking havoc our planet. The long expanse of time for us to reach this evolutionary cusp was due to our not having the mass communication to reach all people everywhere at (close to) the same time, which reflects the 100th monkey idea of critical mass. Today, natives in the jungles of Peru watched the World Cup via satellite TV, people cheered the first inauguration of a black president while watching the celebrations world-wide on wide-screen television, and Twitter helped the dissidents in Iran let everyone everywhere know about their attempt to re-gain their vote and a voice in their government. China fears Google. Facebook is now the third largest population in the world. Technological change, social change, ethical awareness, accountability—all of these facts of life are evolving quickly and swirling us up in a maelstrom of awareness and creation. Do not fret about the past, embrace the future! We can change the world. "If your identity is based in your past experiences, you are not truly present. What looks through your eyes is then only a fictitious creature, an image, an illusion…If you truly wish to channel God’s blessings, begin thinking of yourself less as an isolated self and more as one of a family. You are all of human society; you are the world and all within it. When you relax into perception of other as self, when you think as yourself as the pair of eyes into which you look, when you care about those around you as much as you once cared about yourself, then the energies of healing and transformation are able to flow freely through you. Your eyes, your ears, your every sense is attuned to the richness of the surrounding world. All your senses are operating at a rapid enough level of perception, correction, and decision making to keep up with the energies pouring into your heart from the Great Spirit who comes to fill the needs of the world through you." p.157 When we get frustrated for falling off of the path of awareness of that which we truly are, the book gives us hope: "However, you are not your present structures of understanding. You inhabit a multi-dimensional reality far beyond any structure of thought that could ever be created by your human mind. Know that you are not your thoughts, you are not your ideas, you are not your descriptions of the world around you. You are a being of pure consciousness who has chosen to manifest on the physical plane. You have incarnated to bring out, develop and enjoy the beauty of the created realms."p.191 It is what I have always known. When meditation was my daily practice, it was easier to stay connected to that reality. "As the birds welcome the morning sun with their song, when you act totally in love, you welcome the Great Spirit into your world. You become a conscious cell in the awakening earth. The physical atoms of your body sing together, vibrating in perfect harmony. Your integrity and unity of being, your integration of purpose and expression brings resonance to everything you are and to everything you perceive." P.158 and, it continues: "We visualize what we would like to see incarnate. Eventually creation will reflect our designs, for along the energy pattern images we suspend in consciousness, creatures take form." p.169 When I am in tune, centered, focused on beauty, I have created amazing acts. Building a boat, raising a child, planting a garden of Eden—I can do anything when I am wholly (HOLY) into its design and formation. When my spirit is the center of the desire, the result is phenomenal. "What we were seeking to create upon the earth was, in effect, a whole new kind of interactive intelligence, a kind of intelligence that could, when required, embody either stellar or material intelligence, but that would place its primary value upon the synthesis of the two. Ultimately, only the new intelligence itself could determine just what the synthesis would be. This was the unknown, the variable. It rested like a gray question mark in the middle of our every equation." p.176 Most of all, I found this book gave me hope at a time in my life when I began to wonder what it was all about, and where we were headed as humans. We seem more at odds and divisive than I could have ever imagined as a child of the Sixties. I remember that ideological, albeit naive girl, who thought Viet Nam really was our last war. Now I have hope in our children. Most that I know are idealists who want to help others and to change the world from what our generation has allowed it to become. We need them and the help of Spirit. "Your race is about to awaken as the circuitry of consciousness, the global intelligence system of a planetary newborn that will be half star and half material world… "Each splashing wave of time brings another moment, another doorway, another opening, inviting the awakening children of the earth to feel the flutter of spirit in their consciousness, to feel the brush of angel wings, to allow the waters of their hearts to be still and to live each moment with greater love, honesty, caring and compassion than ever before. So it is that the balance of the Sacred Hoop is restored. Moment by moment, you become more incarnate." p.200 "A three and one-half billion year creative process culminates in your awakening. The human Information Age explodes in unprecedented comprehension waves. Pulsing comprehension waves. Flowing. Into a Solar Age of Flowers. A Starchild rides the crest of light, and bathed in light, is born in love, rejoicing." p.216 Let us rejoice, believe, manifest, and create a world of peace, humanity, caring, and love—Let us create one world with one race—a joining of human and spirit. ~ Gabrielle M.
